Cologne, Germany; November 7, 2011. Music streaming service simfy, which has operated in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to date, today launched a separate portal for users in Belgium. simfy entered into agreements with all major labels, the key aggregators for independent labels and SABAM, the Belgian society of authors, composers, and music publishers, to provide an extensive variety of music.
Music fans can listen to 13 million songs at www.simfy.be on the website or using the simfy desktop player for free with the advertising financed simfy Free service. With the monthly subscription options starting at EUR4.99 users get access to the premium services that are free of advertising, include the offline mode allowing users to download music to their devices and computers, and access to the iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry apps. simfy offers the first free on-demand streaming service in Belgium. The Web site, simfy Player and mobile apps are all available in French as well as Flemish.
"We are excited to bring simfy to Belgium and offer a true legal and free on-demand music streaming service and premium services for music fans. Belgium is among one of many new territories we will be expanding to throughout the next months as we are looking to expand very fast internationally," says Gerrit Schumann, simfy CEO.
By visiting simfy.com, music fans can access over 13 million streamed songs, listen to music, create playlists, and actively network with other fans via social networking sites. Mobile applications also allow users to comfortably listen to music on their smartphones. The site is financed through advertising and a flat rate for music.
